LION FIGHT PROMOTIONS ANNOUNCES MAIN EVENT FOR AUGUST 20, 2011

Thai Legend Sakmongkol Sitchuchoke to face Brazilian Muay  Thai Star Cosmo Alexandre on Lion Fight Promotions’ Battle in the Desert  III

June 14, 2011, Las Vegas, NV – Lion Fight  Promotions, LLC announced today that the company officially signed on  Sakmongkol Sitchuchoke and Cosmo Alexandre to face each other in the  main event for the August 20, 2011 card scheduled to take place at the  Star of the Desert Arena in Primm, NV.

Cosmo “Good Boy” Alexandre is a professional Brazilian Muay Thai  fighter. He is the former WMC Intercontinental and WPMF World champion.  On December 5, 2009 he won the WMC King’s Cup Challenger tournament in  Bangkok, Thailand. He holds a current record of 40 wins / 13 losses.  Cosmo has fought some of the best Muay Thai practitioners in the world  including Giorgio Petrosyan, Yodsanklai Fairtex, and John Wayne Parr.  Cosmo now resides and trains out of Springfield, MA. He recently made  his debut in America on Lion Fight Promotion’s May 14 card and won a  unanimous decision over top American Muay Thai fighter Cyrus Washington.

“I am very happy and honored to fight against Sakmongkol. When I  started training, Sakmongkol was already a legend in Thailand. We,  lovers of Muay Thai, want him to grow here in the U.S. as he has grown  all over the world. This is going to be a great fight…two great  fighters from two different generations”, says Cosmo Alexandre.

Muay Thai legend Sakmongkol “Mong” Sitchuchoke is a 5-time Muay Thai  World Champion and former multi-title Lumpinee Champion. He holds a  record of 227 wins / 19 losses and has defeated many of the best Muay  Thai fighters in the world including Jongsanan Fairtex, Ramon Dekkers,  and Rayen Simson, to name a few. Mong plans on continuing his fight  career in America. He now resides and trains out of Denver, CO.

Sakmongkol Sitchuchoke commented, “I’m excited and happy to fight in  the U.S. and represent my team and students at Zingano Muay Thai in  Denver. Cosmo is a strong fighter and a tough challenge for me. I’ll  give the fans a good show!”

Cosmo Alexandre and Sakmongkol Sitchuchoke are scheduled to fight for  5 rounds by 3 minutes each round under Full Muay Thai Rules at an  agreed weight of 155 lbs.

Everyone will want to see this fight as well as the  stacked card of world class fighters that Christine has put together  including several WBC title fights”.

Jeri Sitzes (Springfield, MO) vs. Misty Sutherland (Calgary, Canada)

Ky Hollenbeck (San Francisco, CA) vs. TBD – 160 lbs

Anthony Castrejon (Las Vegas, NV) vs. TBD – 122 lbs

Sittisak Por Sirichai (Thailand) vs. TBD – 135 lbs
