My first seminar complete.

I’ve been told for a long time that I should be doing seminars because of the amount of experience that I have but I have just never really gotten around to doing them and I’ve often turned down offers…until now.

I first met Mati Parks Stars in Paris when he had a fighter on the same bill that I was competing on. His fighter was Alexis Rufus who is actually fighting for her fifth world title in Thailand soon so I wish her all the best for that.

Mati contacted me a few months ago asking if i’d be interested in doing a seminar at Stars gym in London which would be over two days and broken in to five sessions covering different aspects of Muay Thai.

There would be a few other people involved who would be going over other important aspects that you can use in your general life. There was Vinny Shoreman doing an NLP session, Karolina Kraczor speaking about nutrition and life coach Joy Crowther.

I accepted the offer and had been looking forward to doing it ever since.

I was actually a little nervous the night before the first session and I didn’t sleep too well. If you have followed my blogs then you will know I hate early mornings and as I have only really worked at the gym since I’ve left school, my working day doesn’t start till 12pm.

I kept thinking I have to get up soon and worrying that I wouldn’t give a good account of myself; I was also dreading the 2-3 hour talk that I was expected to give on Muay Thai.

However, there was no need for me to worry as the seminar went really well.

There was a great bunch of people who attended which made it very easy to instruct. There were four practical sessions consisting of punching and kicking, knees and elbows, defence and counters and finally clinching. The group seemed keen to learn and I was pleased to see everyone enjoying themselves.

Enjoying your training is a must in my opinion if you take it too seriously then it becomes a chore.

The talk also went extremely well as everyone had questions that they wanted answered and I was happy to oblige.

Below is a short video of the seminar made by Mati Parks and I just wanted to say a big thank you for having me down. It was a new and enjoyable experience for me and I hope everyone gained something from it.

If anyone else is interested in booking me for a seminar you can contact me through this site, Facebook or Twitter.
